Unlike its exotic appearance suggests, the Artega GT which will debut in a couple of days at the Swiss Show is a production model that’ll be manufactured in a limited series of 500 units per year. Powered by a slightly tuned version of VW’s 3.6 V6 FSI pumping out 300Hp, the mid-engined, rear-wheel drive biased GT accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h – 62mph in less than 5,0 sec and it reaches a maximum speed of about 270 km/h – 169mph. Roughly the size of a Mazda Miata / MX-5 (3,950 x 1,880 x 1,180 mm), Artega’s two seater sports car will be sold worldwide from the middle of 2008 for an approximate price of 75.000 EUR – 99.000 USD
