City Car: MIT’s foldable and stackable electric powered mini

Every now and then, someone comes up with a futuristic idea that promises to change the way we see transportation. This time it’s the MIT Media Lab and their City Car that aims to help reduce traffic congestion and pollution in big cities. All that thanks to the electric engines embedded into each wheel of the vehicle and the folding chassis, which enables it to be stacked at designated parking areas. With the help from General Motors, MIT Media Lab will build a prototype version of the lightweight electric vehicle in the very-near future.
